![]() ![]() Something with a dedicated GPU that can do mid range things like light gaming and GOU rendering for university students who need it. Microsoft need to release a laptop that can compete with the higher end laptops. I am a macbook pro user since 2014 and would not switch to SB4 as a primary but will definitely get it as a secondary if it has Ryzen or ARM. I hope Intel discovers a break through and my stock value goes up :)īTW, I am excited for SB4. Moores law is fading for Intel or at least, Intel is finding it difficult to catch up. One running i5 and other running Ryzen 5 4500U.Įvery expert in the industry knows, Intel is lagging in the processor lineup. AMD easily last 9 hrs of mixed usage on my mothers HP Envy x360 running AMD 4500U, the test device running i5 1021U could not even last full 6 hours with similar usage.įor benchmarks, I used Cinebench R2 on HP Envy x360 (both Intel and AMD versions). ![]() Fan on i5 started on turbo speed at about 5mins in the benchmarks. I did not hear the fan until 20mins past the benchmarks and that too very silent. Performance is at least 1.5x and thermal is at least 2x better. I ran benchmarks on both, AMD kills intel. I compared the specs on sheet for 4500U vs i5 1021U, AMD is clear winner. I don't own AMD processor device but my mother does. I was a big fan of Intel, but not any more. ![]() This is not Intel vs AMD debate, these are numbers talking. I wouldnt be surprised if the next version of surface book comes in ARM variant as well.Ĭoming back to the existing situation, AMD's thermal performance is multiple times better than Intel's. Besides all the obvious concerns that we all are anticipating when a new platform is introduced, lack of apps, stability concerns etc, windows has matured enough in its monolith architecture and hopefully with Surface pro x as the testing device for ARM based windows, we might have a pretty good chance to see surface book running ARM processors. We know MS is working on ARM version of their OS. For Surface Book, Microsoft must to switch to ARM architecture. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now we’ve got the solution and another question comes out that which conversion product you should choose. This node transmits the content to a series of internal nodes (called relays) chosen at random, and finally, the last node (called Exit node) establishes the connection with Google. Generally speaking, the working principle behind the Tor network is simple: a user who wants to connect to Google using Tor establishes an encrypted connection with an input node of the network (called Guard). In 2012, they released a new version of Tor that’s free and open source. The Tor Project has been working to improve the software and the user experience since then. Tor was invented by the United States Naval Research Laboratory in the early 2000s, and it was first released to the public in 2004. Something that actually might me switch to it. ![]() I was really impressed with the denoising features of PureRaw / PhotoLabs. And forced myself to shoot RAW to enjoy most of those features. Just following up to everybody who replied to my post. So, if you switched from Lightroom to PhotoLabs, do you regret it, do you miss something from LR or are you happy with your choice? Thanks! PhotoLabs lets you do most of that, that's why I'm contemplating using it instead of Lightroom. Like import all the pictures from a photo session, rate the one that I want to keep, edit them, and then tag them with different colors to export them on different folders. I'am aware there's other Lightroom alternatives but I use a lot of the "cataloging" features when I editing my pictures. I do all of that on Lightroom, export my pictures and back them up out of my computer, so, to me, Lightroom is an editing software more than a place where I keep all of my pictures. It's mostly pulling down the highlights on overexposed photos, and I like deep shadows and blacks. Those features (and PS) are definitely cool to have, but I don't use them enough to justify the price of the subscription.Ī few words on my workflow, as context: I'm a JPEG shooter and do some minor editing on my pictures. Also, the Photography Plan lets you use Photoshop which I use from time to time, like to remove a spot with the clone stamp tool. I realize that, generally speaking, there's more features on Lightroom, like the slideshow windows, etc. Also, Lightroom has more cataloging features, like more colors to tag your pictures. For instance, I use the "white" slider a lot on LR and can't seem to find it on DXO. I have been using DXO PhotoLabs for a few days and I realize Lightroom has way more features. I'd like to know if some of you went that route, and if yes, if you miss something from Lightroom. I'm happy with it but Adobe's photography plan is starting to be a little expensive, and I'd rather buy a software once and for all than pay a monthly subscription. ![]() I'd like to see if this software can replace Lightroom, which I currently use to edit my pictures. ![]() ![]() Users that are not able to update their installs to the latest version should disable the macro features. Libre Office addressed the issue with the release 7.0.5 or 7.1.1 and later. “An Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in LibreOffice allowed an attacker to self sign an ODF document, with a signature untrusted by the target, then modify it to change the signature algorithm to an invalid (or unknown to LibreOffice) algorithm and LibreOffice would incorrectly present such a signature with an unknown algorithm as a valid signature issued by a trusted person.” reads the advisory published by LibreOffice.
